I think it might be a great way to stay in touch with you -- present and former students.
The nice thing about teaching ESL is that I meet so many interesting people -- you! The sad thing is that usually those interesting people eventually leave and I lose touch (contact) with them. So I was thinking about it and realised that a blog is an easy way to keep in contact with anyone who wants to. Even if you don't want to write, you can read about what I'm doing and we're doing in class, and maybe even practice your English.
For the current students, this might be a good way to keep in touch between classes and have a conversation about things we talk about in class.
And, I can put things on my blog that might help you -- like advice and articles about how to improve your English, or links to good web sites. Maybe even photos of what I did on my weekend -- boring!
I'll try and make it interesting, so that it will help you improve your English.
